Lieberman-Warner Climate Security Act May Have Local Impact
The Lieberman-Warner Climate Security Act is heading to the hill this summer.
This landmark legislation, if passed, could mean some much needed financial support for local recycling programs all across the country as well as in the Tobacco Valley. This bill addresses many things including capping greenhouse gas emissions from man-made sources. Group I greenhouse gases include Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Methane, Nitrous Oxide, Sulfur Hexafluoride, & Perfluorocarbons. Hydrofluorocarbons are considered a Group II type.
So what do greenhouse gases have to do with recycling? A LOT!
